Description and operation
| Description |
Via the seat belt/door switch, the ISG function can detect if the driver side seat belt is fastened and the driver side door is closed. If the driver side seat belt/door are not fastened/closed, the ISG system will not operate. If the seat belt/door are unfastened/opened, the engine will not start or stop by the ISG function for safety reasons.

Remove the front seat assembly. (Refer to Front Seat - "Front Seat Assembly") |

Remove the front seat belt buckle (A) after loosening the mounting bolt.

Install in the reverse order of removal. |

Repair procedures Removal 1. Remove the engine room front under cover. (Refer to Engine and Transmission Assembly - "Engine Room Under Cover") 2. For release the tension, turn the drive belt tensioner (A) counterclockwise then remove the drive belt (B). 3.Checking the engine oil level ■ THETA II 2.0L T-GDI Engine (Gasoline) ■ Lambda II PE 3.3L T-GDI Engine (Gasoline) 1. Be sure the vehicle is on level ground. 2. Start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature. 3. Turn the engine off and wait for a few minutes (about 5 minutes) for the oil to return to the oil pan.Categories
