Description and operation
Description

Via the seat belt/door switch, the ISG function can detect if the driver side seat belt is fastened and the driver side door is closed. If the driver side seat belt/door are not fastened/closed, the ISG system will not operate. If the seat belt/door are unfastened/opened, the engine will not start or stop by the ISG function for safety reasons.

Repair procedures
Removal
1.

Remove the front seat assembly.

(Refer to Front Seat - "Front Seat Assembly")

2.

Remove the front seat belt buckle (A) after loosening the mounting bolt.

Tightening torque :

39.2 - 53.9 N·m (4.0 - 5.5 Kgf·m, 28.9 - 39.8 lb·ft)

Installation
1.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Repair procedures Removal 1. Remove the engine room front under cover. (Refer to Engine and Transmission Assembly - "Engine Room Under Cover") 2. Remove the drive belt and water pump belt. (Refer to Drive Belt System - "Drive Belt") 3. Install the SST (0K231-2C100) on the crankshatf damper pulley, and then tighten the bolts (A).
