Repair procedures

Removal

1.	Shift the gear to "N".

2.	Remove the knob (A) by pulling it in the direction of arrow after removing the boots from the console upper cover.

3.	Remove the floor console assembly. (Refer to Body - “Floor Console Assembly”)

4.	Disconnect the shift lever main connector.

Remove the shift lever (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.

Tightening torque :

8.8 - 13.7 N·m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf·m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb·ft)

6.	Remove the snap pin (A) and shift cable fixing clip (B).

Remove the shift cable from the shift lever after loosening the screws (A).

Tightening torque :

0.69 - 1.37 N·m (0.07 - 0.14 kgf·m, 0.51 - 1.01 lb·ft, 6.08 - 12.15 lb·in)

Installation

1.	Install in the reverse order of removal.

If the vehicle is operated in severely polluted city or on dusty rough roads for a long period, it should be inspected more frequently and replaced earlier than schedule. When replacing the climate control air filter, replace in the following procedure and be careful not to damage other components.

Description and operation Description Installed on the righthand side of the fuel tank, the fuel pump control module (FPCM) controls the DC motor mounted inside the low pressure fuel pump. The module compares instantaneous fuel pressure information measured by the fuel pressure sensor (FPS) with target fuel pressure information provided by the ECM and generates the desired target fuel pressure by controlling the fuel pump motor and regulating fuel flow rate in the low pressure fuel line between the low and high pressure fuel pumps.
