| Description |
Automatic transmission control system relies on various measurements to determine the current control status and determine the necessary compensation values. These values are used to control the actuators and achieve the desired control output.
Control System Composition

Shift By Wire (SBW) System Composition

▶ Operating Principle
| – |
Instead of cable, the system uses electronic signals to shift between the P-R-N-D gears. |
| – |
Structurally designed to ensure that the vehicle is in park at all times when the power is off. |
| Adjustment |
TCM adaptive values learning
| • |
TCM adaptive values learning : When shift shock occurs or parts related with the transmission are replaced, TCM learning should be performed. |
| • |
In the following case, TCM learning is required. |
| – |
Automatic transmission assembly replacement |
| – |
TCM upgrade or replacement |
| – |
Solenoid valve replacement |
TCM adaptive values learning procedure : Repeat the above procedure least five times as shown in the pattern of illustration below.
| • |
Static relearn (condition : ATF temperature 35 - 95°C (95 - 203°F)
|
| • |
Driving relearn |
| 1) |
Drive the vehicle through all gears at D range. Drive from stop to 1st to 2nd to 3rd to 4th to 5th to 6th to 7th to 8th with keeping fixed throttle open. |
| 2) |
Down shift from 8th to 7th, 7th to 6th, 6th to 5th, 5th to 4th, 4th to 3rd, 3rd to 2nd, 2nd to 1st.
