2. Front muffler bracket (2WD)
3. Front muffler bracket (AWD)
4. Center muffler
5. Rear muffler (RH)

6. Rear muffler (LH)
7. Rear muffler bracket
8. Rubber hanger
9. Gasket

Repair procedures

Removal and Installation

Front Muffler

1.	Remove the engine room rear under cover. (Refer to Engine and Transmission Assembly - "Engine Room Under Cover")

Remove the front muffler bracket (A).

Tightening torque :

29.4 - 39.2 N·m (3.0 - 4.0 kgf·m, 21.7 - 28.9 lb·ft)

Remove the front muffler (A).

Tightening torque :

39.2 - 58.8 N·m (4.0 - 6.0 kgf·m, 28.9 - 43.4 lb·ft)

When installing, replace with new gaskets.

4.	Install in the reverse order of removal.

Center Muffler

1.	Detach the rubber hanger (A) from the center muffler.

Remove the center muffler (B).

Tightening torque :

39.2 - 58.8 N·m (4.0 - 6.0 kgf·m, 28.9 - 43.4 lb·ft)

When installing, replace with new gaskets.

3.	Install in the reverse order of removal.

LH Rear Muffler

Remove the rear muffler bracket (A).

Tightening torque :

29.4 - 39.2 N·m (3.0 - 4.0 kgf·m, 21.7 - 28.9 lb·ft)

When installing, replace with new gaskets.

2.	Detach the hanger (A) from the LH rear muffler.

Remove the LH rear muffler (B).

Tightening torque :

39.2 - 58.8 N·m (4.0 - 6.0 kgf·m, 28.9 - 43.4 lb·ft)

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Always use a new muffler gasket.

RH Rear Muffler

Remove the rear muffler bracket (A).

Tightening torque :

29.4 - 39.2 N·m (3.0 - 4.0 kgf·m, 21.7 - 28.9 lb·ft)

2.	Detach the hanger (A) from the RH rear muffler.

Remove the RH rear muffler (B).

Tightening torque :

39.2 - 58.8 N·m (4.0 - 6.0 kgf·m, 28.9 - 43.4 lb·ft)

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Always use a new muffler gasket.
