The child safety lock is provided to help prevent children from accidentally opening the rear doors from inside the vehicle. The rear door safety locks should be used whenever children are in the vehicle.
1. Open the rear door.
2. Turn the child safety lock (1) located on the rear edge of the door to the
lock (
) position. When the child safety
lock is in the lock position, the rear door will not open even when the inner door
handle is pulled.
3. Close the rear door.
To open the rear door, pull the outside door handle (2).
Even though the doors may be unlocked, the rear door will not open by pulling the inner door handle until the rear door child safety lock is unlocked.
WARNING - Rear door locks
Use the rear door safety locks whenever children are in the vehicle. If a child accidently opens the rear doors while the vehicle is moving, they may fall out.

The vehicle speed will maintain the set speed. When there is a vehicle ahead of you in your lane The vehicle will maintain the set speed, when the lane ahead is clear. The vehicle will slow down or speed up within selected speed to maintain the selected distance, when there is a vehicle ahead of you in the lane. (A vehicle will appear in front of your vehicle in the LCD display only when there is an actual vehicle in front of you) If the vehicle ahead speeds up, your vehicle will travel at a steady cruising speed after accelerating to the selected speed.*1 The system judges a person of adult size as an adult. When a smaller adult sits in the front passenger seat, the system may recognize him/her as a child depending on his/her physique and posture. *2 Do not allow children to ride in the front passenger seat. When a larger child who has outgrown a child restraint system sits in the front passenger seat, the system may recognize him/her as an adult depending upon his/her physique or sitting position.
