Repair procedures
Removal
1.

Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2.

Remove the engine cover (A).
3.

Disconnect the water sensor connector & fuel heater connector (A), fuel pressure sensor connector (B).
4.

Disconnect the fuel inlet tube line quick-connector (C),from the fuel filter.
5.

Remove the fuel filter bracket installation bolts (A), and then remove the fuel filter from the vehicle.
6.

Remove the fuel filter installation bolts, and then remove the fuel filter assembly from the bracket.
Installation
1.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

  

After removing or replacing the following parts, bleed air in low pressure fuel circuit.

(Refer to Fuel Delivery System - "Air bleeding in low pressure fuel circuit")

The high-pressure cooling system has a reservoir filled with year round antifreeze coolant. The reservoir is filled at the factory. Check the antifreeze protection and coolant level at least once a year: at the beginning of the winter season, and before traveling to a colder climate. CAUTION - Radiator cap Never attempt to remove the radiator cap while the engine is operating or hot.

General information Identification Number Locations Protection of the Vehicle Always be sure to cover fenders, seats, and floor areas before servicing.    Insert the supportive rod into the hole at the edge of the hood whenever inspecting the engine compartment to prevent the hood from falling and causing possible injury.
