Automatic-dimming function
Your mirror will automatically dim upon detecting glare from the vehicles traveling behind you. The autodimming function can be controlled by the Dimming ON/OFF Button:
1. Pressing the
button turns the
auto-dimming function OFF which is indicated by the green Status Indicator LED turning
off.
2. Pressing the
button again turns
the auto-dimming function ON which is indicated by the green Status Indicator LED
turning on.
✽ NOTICE
The mirror defaults to the ON position each time the vehicle is started.
Z-Nav™ Compass Display
The NVS® Mirror in your vehicle is also equipped with a Z-NAV™ Compass that shows the vehicle Compass heading in the Display Window using the 8 basic cardinal headings (N, NE, E, SE, etc.).

Description and operation Description The photo sensor is located at the center of the defrost nozzles. The photo sensor contains a photovoltaic (sensitive to sunlight) diode. The solar radiation received by its light receiving portion, generates an electromotive force in proportion to the amount of radiation received which is then transferred to the automatic temperature control module so that the solar radiation compensation can be performed.Repair procedures Inspection [On vehicle inspection] 1. Accelerate the engine to about 3,000 rpm 3 times or more. 2. Remove the spark plug. 3. Check the spark plug visually. If the electrode is dry, the spark plug is normal. If the electrode is wet, check the damage and electrode gap as below.Categories
