Repair procedures

Replacement

1.	Remove the front driveshaft. (Refer to Driveshaft Assembly - “Front Driveshaft”)

2.	Remove the TJ joint assembly. (Refer to Driveshaft Assembly - “TJ Joint”)

3.	Using a plier or flat-tipped (-) screwdriver, remove the BJ boot bands (A).

4.	Remove the BJ boot.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

•	Do not disassemble the BJ assembly.

•	Special grease must be applied to the driveshaft joint. Do not substitute with another type of grease.

•	The boot band should be replaced with a new one.

6.	Check the front alignment. (Refer to Suspension System - "Alignment")

Repair procedures Replacement 1. Loosen the front door checker (A) mounting bolt. Tightening torque : 19.6 - 29.4 N·m (2.0 - 3.0 Kgf·m, 14.5 - 21.7 lb·ft) 2. Detach the clips, then remove the front door side weatherstrip (A). Tightening torque : 19.

Description and operation Description Located in the heater unit, the mode control actuator adjusts the position of the mode door by operating the mode control actuator according to the signal from the A/C control unit. Pressing the mode select switch shifts the mode control actuator in the order of Vent → Bi-Level → Floor → Mix.
