Repair procedures
Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) Level Check
1.

Start the engine to warm up the ATF.

  

Do not step on the brake and accelerator simultaneously to warm up the ATF.

2.

Check by using KDS that the temperature of the ATF is between 50°C and 60°C (122-140°F).

3.

Move the shift lever slowly from "P" to "D", then back to "P". Repeat this sequence two times and then move the shift lever to "P" range.

  

Pause in each range for more than 2 seconds.

4.

Lift the vehicle and remove the ATF level plug (A) from the valve body cover.

  

When removing the ATF level plug, keep the vehicle on a level ground.

5.

Check the ATF level.

Nomal : ATF flows out in a thin oil stream.

Excessive : (abnormal): Over 0.9 liters of ATF flows out for 2 minutes.

Insufficient : (abnormal): There is no fluid flow.

  

If the ATF level is too high or low, follow the instructions below.

Excessive: Drain until the ATF flows out in a thin oil stream.

Insufficient: Add the ATF after loosening Injection plug (A) until the ATF flows out in a thin oil stream.

Tightening torque :

34.3 - 44.1 N·m (3.5 - 4.5 kgf·m, 25.3 - 32.5 lb·ft)

6.

Install the ATF level plug (A).

Tightening torque :

22.6 - 24.5 N·m (2.3 - 2.5 kgf·m, 16.6 - 18.1 lb·ft)

7.

After ATF level check or exchange, be sure to remove ATF from outside automatic transmission.

(Must make sure to remove the residual ATF between automatic transmission case and valve body cover. )

To release the EPB (electronic parking brake), press the EPB switch while doing the following: Have the ignition switch or engine start/stop button in the ON position. Depress the brake pedal. The shift lever must be in P (Park). Make sure the brake warning light goes off. To release EPB (electronic parking brake) automatically: Shift lever in P (Park) With the engine running depress the brake pedal and shift out of P (Park) to R (Reverse) or D (Drive).

The Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) system uses radar sensors in the rear bumper to monitor and warn the driver of an approaching vehicle in the driver's blind spot area. The system monitors the rear area of the vehicle and provides information to the driver with an audible alert and a indicator on the outside rearview mirrors. (1) Blind spot area The BCW range varies relative to vehicle speed.
