Repair procedures
| Removal |
| 1. |
Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable. |
| 2. |
Remove the luggage side trim. (Refer to Body - "Luggage side trim") |
| 3. |
Disconnect the ECS control unit connector (A).
|
| 4. |
Loosen the ECS control unit bracket nut and then remove the ECS control unit (A).
|
| Installation |
| 1. |
Install in the reverse order of removal. |
| 2. |
Perform ECS variant coding. |

Your vehicle is equipped with driver's and front passenger's pre-tensioner seat belts (retractor pretensioner and EFD (Emergency Fastening Device)). The pre-tensioner seat belts may be activated, when a frontal collision is severe enough, together with the air bags.
