Repair procedures

Removal

1.	Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Remove mirror (A) to the direction as shown in the picture using (-) screw driver.

•	Protect mirror from removing tool with cloth (B) wrapped.

•	Be careful not to damage mirror and mirror housing during removing process.

•	Apply force around the center of mirror because to apply force the end of mirror will break it.

Be careful not to damage the fixing clips (A).

3.	Disconnect the heater connectors (B) and BCW indicator connector (A) from the mirror.

4.	Remove the BCW indicator (A) from the mirror.

Installation

1.	Install the BCW indicator.

2.	Connect the heater connectors and BCW indicator connector.

3.	Install the mirror.

4.	Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Inspection

1.	Remove the outside rear view mirror. (Refer to Body - "Outside Rear View Mirror")

2.	Verify that the mirror operates properly as shown in the below table.

Repair procedures Inspection CV Joint and boots 1. Shift the transmission lever to Neutral. 2. Raise the vehicle off the ground, and support it with safety stands in the proper locations. 3. Check the center bearing (A) for excessive play or rattle and rubber for rent.
