Repair procedures

Removal and Installation

1.	Remove the automatic transmission. (Refer to Automatic Transmission System - "Automatic Transmission")

Remove the drive plate adapter (A) and drive plate (B).

Tightening torque :

117.7 - 127.5 N·m (12 - 13 kg·m, 86.8 - 94.0 lb·ft)

•	Always use new drive plate bolts.

•	Install and uniformly tighten the 7 bolts, in several passes.

3.	Install in the reverse order of removal.

Repair procedures Removal 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the rear pillar trim. (Refer to Body - "Rear Pillar Trim") 3. Disconnect the power tailgate spindle connector (A). 4. Using a screwdriver, lift the socket clips (A) up slightly.

(1) Power liftgate open/close button (2) Power liftgate handle switch (3) Power liftgate close button ✽ NOTICE If the engine start/stop button is ON, the power liftgate can operate when the automatic transmission is in P (Park). WARNING Never leave children or animals unattended in your vehicle. Children or animals might operate the power liftgate which could result in injury to themselves or others, or damage the vehicle.
