If there is a problem with the system a message will appear. If the problem continues the LKA system fail indicator will illuminate.

The LKA system fail indicator (yellow) will illuminate with an audible warning if the LKA system is not working properly. In this case, have the system checked by an authorized Kia dealer.

When there is a problem with the system do one of the following:

  • Turn the system on after turning the engine off and on again.
  • Check if the ignition switch is in the ON position.
  • Check if the system is affected by the weather. (ex: fog, heavy rain, etc.)
  • Check if there is foreign matter on the camera lens

If the problem is not solved, have the system checked by an authorized Kia dealer.

For maximum restraint system protection, the seat belts must always be used whenever the vehicle is moving. A properly positioned shoulder belt should be positioned midway over your shoulder across your collarbone. Never allow children to ride in the front passenger seat. See child restraint system section for further discussion. WARNING - Twisted seat belt Make sure your seat belt is not twisted when worn.

If you have a flat tire, the Low Tire Pressure telltale will come on. Have the flat tire repaired by an authorized Kia dealer as soon as possible or replace the flat tire with the spare tire. CAUTION - Repair Agents Never use a puncture-repairing agent not approved by Kia to repair and/or inflate a low pressure tire. The sealant not approved by Kia may damage the tire pressure sensor.
