Smart key
To remove the mechanical key (2), press and hold the release button (1) and remove the mechanical key.
To reinstall the mechanical key, put the key into the hole and push it until a click sound is heard.

The indicator in the instrument cluster displays the shift lever position when the engine start/stop button is in the ON position. However, if the gear is in N (Neutral) or P (Park), the position is displayed on the instrument cluster when the engine start/stop button is in the OFF or ACC position. CAUTION - Transmission To avoid damage to your transmission, do not accelerate the engine in R (Reverse) or any forward gear position with the brakes on.■ Front ■ Rear If towing is necessary, have it done by an authorized Kia dealer or a commercial tow truck service. If towing service is not available in an emergency, your vehicle may be temporarily towed using a cable or chain secured to the emergency towing hook under the front (or rear) of the vehicle.
