Description and operation Description • The front impact sensor (FIS) is installed in the Front End Module (FEM). • FIS is a remote sensor that detects acceleration due to a collision at its mounting location. • The primary purpose of the Front Impact Sensor (FIS) is to provide an indication of a collision.Repair procedures Disassembly In case of removing the high pressure fuel pump, high pressure fuel pipe, delivery pipe, and injector, there may be injury caused by leakage of the high pressure fuel. So don’t do any repair work right after engine stops. • Use fender covers to avoid damaging painted surfaces.
