Illuminated engine start/stop button

Whenever the front door is opened, the engine start/stop button will illuminate for your convenience. The light will go off after about 30 seconds when the door is closed.

When all doors are closed and you lock the vehicle by using the transmitter or the smart key, the light will go off immediately.

Repair procedures Inspection 1. Turn the ignition switch OFF. 2. Disconnect the mode control actuator connector. 3. Verify that the mode control actuator operates to the defrost mode when 12V is connected to terminal 3 and ground to terminal 7. Verify that the mode control actuator operates to the vent mode when connected in reverse.

Repair procedures Removal Put on gloves to protect your hands. • When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver or use a prying trim tool, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
