Repair procedures
| Removal |
| 1. |
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. |
| 2. |
Remove the tailgate trim. (Refer to Body - "Tailgate Trim") |
| 3. |
Disconnect the anti-pinch strip connector (A).

| 4. |
Remove the anti-pinch strip (A) after removing the mounting clips.
|
| Installation |
| 1. |
Install the anti-pinch strip. |
| 2. |
Disconnect the anti-pinch strip connector. |
| 3. |
Install the tailgate trim. |
| 4. |
Connect the negative (-) battery terminal. |
| Inspection |
Inspection of the Anti-Pinch Strip
Refer to Power Tailgate System - "Troubleshooting"

Repair procedures Removal 1. Remove wheel nuts, wheel and tire (A) from hub. Tightening torque: 107.9 - 127.5 N·m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf·m, 79.6 - 94.0 lb·ft) Be careful not to damage the wheel bolts when removing the wheel and tire (A).Repair procedures Replacement • When removing and installing the hood lifter, work in a group of two or more. • When removing the hood lifter, first remove the lower portion and then upper portion.Categories
