Repair procedures
| Removal |
| 1. |
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. |
| 2. |
Remove the tailgate trim. (Refer to Body - "Tailgate Trim") |
| 3. |
Disconnect the anti-pinch strip connector (A).

| 4. |
Remove the anti-pinch strip (A) after removing the mounting clips.
|
| Installation |
| 1. |
Install the anti-pinch strip. |
| 2. |
Disconnect the anti-pinch strip connector. |
| 3. |
Install the tailgate trim. |
| 4. |
Connect the negative (-) battery terminal. |
| Inspection |
Inspection of the Anti-Pinch Strip
Refer to Power Tailgate System - "Troubleshooting"

Repair procedures Inspection [On vehicle inspection] 1. Accelerate the engine to about 3,000 rpm 3 times or more. 2. Remove the spark plug. 3. Check the spark plug visually. If the electrode is dry, the spark plug is normal.
