When heavy rear components such as suspension, fuel tank, spare tire, tailgate and trunk lid are to be removed, place additional weight in the luggage area before hoisting. When substatial weight is removed from the rear of the vehicle, the center of gravity may change and can cause the vehicle to tip forward on the hoist.

Since each tire/wheel assembly weighs approximately 30 lbs (14 kg), placing the front wheels in the luggage area can assist with the weight distribution.

Use the same support points to support the vehicle on safety stands.

1.

Place the lift blocks under the support points as shown in the illustration.

2.

Raise the hoist a few inches (centimeters) and rock the vehicle to be sure it is firmly supported.

3.

Raise the hoist to full height to inspect the lift points for secure support.

Located in the heater unit, the temperature control actuator regulates the temperature in the following procedures. Signal from control unit adjusts the position of the temperature door by operating the temperature switch.

The automatic transmission has 8 forward speeds and one reverse speed. The individual speeds are selected automatically, depending on the position of the shift lever. ✽ NOTICE The first few shifts on a new vehicle, if the battery has been disconnected, may be somewhat abrupt. This is a normal condition, and the shifting sequence will adjust after shifts are cycled a few times by the TCM (Transmission Control Module) or PCM (Powertrain Control Module).
