Kia Stinger CK: Seat Electrical / Lumbar Support Unit
Repair procedures
| Removal |
| 1. |
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. |
| 2. |
Remove the front seat back cover. (Refer to Body - "Front Seat Back Cover") |
| 3. |
Disconnect the lumbar support motor connectors (A).
|
| 4. |
Separate the retaining clips (A) from the seat frame.
|
| 5. |
Remove the lumbar support assembly (B) after disengaging mounting clip (A).
|
| Installation |
| 1. |
Install the lumbar support assembly. |
| 2. |
Install the front seat back cover. |
| 3. |
Install the front seat assembly.

| Inspection |
Lumbar Support Motor
| 1. |
Disconnect the connectors for motor.
|
| 2. |
When the battery power is supplied to the motor connector, check the motor for smooth operation. |
| 3. |
Reverse the connections and check that the motor turns in reverse. |
| 4. |
If the motor runs abnormally, replace it.
|

To release the EPB (electronic parking brake), press the EPB switch while doing the following: Have the ignition switch or engine start/stop button in the ON position. Depress the brake pedal. The shift lever must be in P (Park). Make sure the brake warning light goes off. Repair procedures Inspection 1. Turn the ignition switch OFF. 2. Disconnect the mode control actuator connector. 3. Verify that the mode control actuator operates to the defrost mode when 12V is connected to terminal 3 and ground to terminal 7. Verify that the mode control actuator operates to the vent mode when connected in reverse.Categories
