Change the ENGINE START/STOP button to the OFF position. The immobilizer system activates automatically. Without a valid smart key for your vehicle, the engine will not start. In order to prevent theft of your vehicle, do not leave spare keys anywhere in your vehicle. Your immobilizer password is a customer unique password and should be kept confidential.

If the map lamp (LED) (1) does not operate, have the vehicle checked by an authorized Kia dealer. The LED lamps cannot be replaced as a single component because they are part of an integrated unit. The LED lamps have to be replaced with the unit. A skilled technician should check or repair the map lamp (LED), for it may damage related parts of the vehicle.
