Description and operation
Installed on the high pressure fuel pump, the Fuel Pressure Control Valve controls
flow of fuel into the injectors in accordance with the ECM signal calculated based
on various engine conditions.

Repair procedures

Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

| 2. |
Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator valve connector.
|
| 3. |
Measure resistance between the fuel pressure regulator valve terminals
1 and 2.

| 4. |
Check that the resistance is within the specification.
|
Specification: Approx. 0.5 Ω [20°C (68°F)]
|

|
Fuel Pressure Control Valve cannot be replaced on its own; it should
be replaced with the high pressure fuel pump.

Description and operation
Description
The smart cruise control unit is installed on the front right-hand side of the
chassis. A radar sensor is embedded in the front section of the unit. This sensor
detects vehicles and objects in front of the vehicle. The radar sensor can detect
up to 64 objects ahead of the vehicle. The alarm goes off when the vehicle deviates
from the horizontal and vertical alignment reference points during operation.
