Oil Seal (Main Shaft)
| 1. |
Remove the transfer case assembly. (Refer to 4 Wheel Drive (AWD) System -"Transfer Case Assembly") |
| 2. |
Remove the oil seal (A) using a flat head driver.

| 3. |
Install the new oil seal with special service tools (0K473-J5100, 09231-H1100).

Install the transfer case assembly. (Refer to 4 Wheel Drive (AWD) System -"Transfer Case Assembly") |
Oil Seal (Rear Flange)
| 1. |
Remove the rear propeller shaft assembly. (Refer to Driveshaft and axle -"Rear Propeller Shaft Assembly") |
| 2. |
Remove the snap ring (A) using a snap ring plier.

| 3. |
Remove the rear flange (A) using a gear puller.
|
| 4. |
Remove the oil seal (A) using flat head driver.
|
| 5. |
Install the new oil seal using special service tools (0K473-J5200, 09231-H1100).

| 6. |
Install the rear flange.
|
| 7. |
Install the snap ring.
|
| 8. |
Install the rear propeller shaft assembly. (Refer to Driveshaft and axle -"Rear Propeller Shaft Assembly") |

All tire pressures (including the spare) should be checked when the tires are cold. “Cold Tires” means the vehicle has not been driven for at least three hours or driven less than 1.6 km (one mile). Recommended pressures must be maintained for the best ride, top vehicle handling, and minimum tire wear.
