Kia Stinger CK: ISG (Idle Stop & Go) System / Seat belt switch
Description and operation
Via the seat belt/door switch, the ISG function can detect if the driver side
seat belt is fastened and the driver side door is closed. If the driver side seat
belt/door are not fastened/closed, the ISG system will not operate. If the seat
belt/door are unfastened/opened, the engine will not start or stop by the ISG function
for safety reasons.
Repair procedures

Remove the front seat assembly.
(Refer to Front Seat - "Front Seat Assembly")

Remove the front seat belt buckle (A) after loosening the mounting bolt.
|
Tightening torque :
39.2 - 53.9 N·m (4.0 - 5.5 Kgf·m, 28.9 - 39.8 lb·ft)

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Removal
Low Pressure Fuel Line

1.
Release the residual pressure in fuel line.
(Refer to the Fuel Delivery System - "Release Residual Pressure in Fuel
Line")
2.
Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Repair procedures
Removal
1.
Release the residual pressure in fuel line.
(Refer to the Fuel Delivery System - "Release Residual Pressure in Fuel
Line")
2.
Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
3.
Remove the intake manifold.
