The system reduces injury of pedestrians by lifting the hood when a accident occurs between the pedestrian and vehicle.
It may prevent a secondary impact between the pedestrian's head and engine components.

The sensor may be limited when: - The radar or the camera is contaminated with foreign substances. - It heavily rains or snows. - There is electromagnetic interference. - Something in the path of travel deflects the radar waves. - The vehicle in front has a narrow body. If you lose your smart key, you will not be able to start the engine. Tow the vehicle, if necessary, and contact an authorized Kia dealer. A maximum of 2 smart keys can be registered to a single vehicle.
