Removal
  

When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.

When removing the interior trim pieces, use a plastic panel removal tool to prevent damaging the surface.

1.

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

2.

Remove the crash pad passenger side panel.

(Refer to Body - "Crash Pad Center Panel")

3.

Remove the AVN front monitor (A) after loosening the mounting screws.

4.

Disconnect the AVN front monitor connectors (A).

Installation
1.

Connect the AVN front monitor connectors.

2.

Install the AVN front monitor.

3.

Install the crash pad passenger side panel.

4.

Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Description and operation Description The SRSCM shall monitor the status of the driver and front passenger seat belt buckle. The SRSCM provides one pin each for the driver and front passenger seat belt buckle status input. The seat belt buckle circuit operates from internal boost voltage supplied by the SRSCM, and uses chassis ground for the signal return.

Battery saver function The purpose of this feature is to prevent the battery from being discharged if the lights are left in the ON position. The system automatically shuts off the parking lights 30 seconds after the ignition key is removed and the driver’s door is opened and closed. With this feature, the parking lights will turn off automatically if the driver parks on the side of the road at night and opens the driver’s side door.
