Repair procedures

Removal and Installation

1.	Remove the drive belt. (Refer to Drive Belt System - "Drive Belt")

Remove the drive belt auto tensioner pulley (A).

Tightening torque :

53.9 - 63.7 N·m (5.5 - 6.5 kg·m, 39.8 - 47.0 lb·ft)

Tensioner pulley bolt is left-hands screw.

Remove the drive belt tensioner (B).

Tightening torque :

53.9 - 63.7 N·m (5.5 - 6.5 kg·m, 39.8 - 47.0 lb·ft)

4.	Install in the reverse order of removal.

Repair procedures Removal Put on gloves to protect your hands. • When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver or use a prying trim tool, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.

Repair procedures Replacement Oil Seal (Main Shaft) 1. Remove the transfer case assembly. (Refer to 4 Wheel Drive (AWD) System -"Transfer Case Assembly") 2. Remove the oil seal (A) using a flat head driver. • To prevent from oil leak at the Bentle Valve (B), replace the oil seal with the same installation direction of transfer case oil seal.
