Repair procedures
Removal
1.

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

2.

Remove the tailgate upper trim.

(Refer to Body - "Tailgate Trim")

3.

Disconnect the high mounted stop lamp connector (A).

4.

Remove the high mounted stop lamp (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.

Installation
1.

Install the high mounted stop lamp.

2.

Connect the high mounted stop lamp connector.

3.

Install the tailgate upper trim.

4.

Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.

The sensor may be limited when: - The radar or the camera is contaminated with foreign substances. - It heavily rains or snows. - There is electromagnetic interference. - Something in the path of travel deflects the radar waves. - The vehicle in front has a narrow body. Description and operation Description Via the seat belt/door switch, the ISG function can detect if the driver side seat belt is fastened and the driver side door is closed. If the driver side seat belt/door are not fastened/closed, the ISG system will not operate. If the seat belt/door are unfastened/opened, the engine will not start or stop by the ISG function for safety reasons.
