Kia Stinger CK: Lubrication System / Oil Cooler

Repair procedures
Removal
1.

Drain the coolant.

(Refer to Cooling System - "Coolant")

2.

Remove the oil filter.

(Refer to Lubrication System - "Engine Oil")

3.

Disconnect the oil cooler coolant hoses (A).

4.

Loosen the mounting bolt (B) and remove the oil cooler assembly (C).

Installation
1.

Apply a light coat of engine oil to the oil cooler packing surface and then install the oil cooler (B) with fix bolt (A).

Tightening torque:

44.1 - 53.9 N·m (4.5 - 5.5 kgf·m, 32.5 - 39.8 lb·ft)

  

Fix position of oil cooler stopper(A) where oil cooler resists on ladder frame stopper (B).

2.

Connect the oil cooler coolant hoses (A).

3.

Install the oil filter.

(Refer to Lubrication System - "Engine Oil")

4.

Fill the radiator with coolant and check for leaks.

If the vehicle detected by sensors approaches your vehicle, the warning chime will sound and the warning light will blink on the outside rearview mirror. If the detected vehicle is out of detection range, moving away in the opposite direction or moving slow, or if the vehicle is right behind your vehicle, if the direction of the other vehicle is not heading towards your vehicle, the warning is cancelled.
