Description and operation

Description

Via the seat belt/door switch, the ISG function can detect if the driver side seat belt is fastened and the driver side door is closed. If the driver side seat belt/door are not fastened/closed, the ISG system will not operate. If the seat belt/door are unfastened/opened, the engine will not start or stop by the ISG function for safety reasons.

Repair procedures

Removal

1.	Remove the front seat assembly. (Refer to Front Seat - "Front Seat Assembly")

Remove the front seat belt buckle (A) after loosening the mounting bolt.

Tightening torque :

39.2 - 53.9 N·m (4.0 - 5.5 Kgf·m, 28.9 - 39.8 lb·ft)

Installation

1.	Install in the reverse order of removal.

Repair procedures Compression Pressure Inspection If the there is lack of power, excessive oil consumption or poor fuel economy, measure the compression pressure. 1. Warm up and stop engine. Allow the engine to warm up to normal operating temperature.
