Repair procedures

Replacement

1.	Remove the front driveshaft. (Refer to Driveshaft Assembly - “Front Driveshaft”)

2.	Remove the TJ joint assembly. (Refer to Driveshaft Assembly - “TJ Joint”)

3.	Using a plier or flat-tipped (-) screwdriver, remove the BJ boot bands (A).

4.	Remove the BJ boot.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

•	Do not disassemble the BJ assembly.

•	Special grease must be applied to the driveshaft joint. Do not substitute with another type of grease.

•	The boot band should be replaced with a new one.

6.	Check the front alignment. (Refer to Suspension System - "Alignment")

To activate/deactivate the LKA system: With the ignition switch in the ON position, press the LKA system button located on the instrument panel on the lower left hand side of the driver. The indicator in the cluster display will initially illuminate white. When the indicator (white) activated in the previous ignition cycle, the system turns on without any control.

This system provides further enhancements to vehicle stability and steering responses when a vehicle is driving on a slippery road or a vehicle detects changes in coefficient of friction between right wheels and left wheels when braking. WARNING - Tire/ Wheel size When replacing tires and wheels, make sure they are the same size as the original tires and wheels installed.
