Repair procedures
Removal
1.

Shift the gear to "N".

2.

Loosen the nut (A) and remove the shift cable fixing clip (B).

Tightening torque :

9.8 - 14.7 N·m (1.0 - 1.5 kgf·m, 7.2 - 10.8 lb·ft)

  

When installing, the existing shift cable clip (A) must be replaced with new one. (Do not reuse it.)

Remove the shift lever.

(Refer to Automatic Transmission Control System - "Shift lever")

4.

Then, remove the shift cable by pulling it toward the vehicle interior.

Installation
1.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Components and components location Components Appearance of E-CVVT is similar to that of hydraulic CVVT. Connector that drives DC motor and protection cover that protects the motor are mounted on the upper part. DC motor that drives the CVVT is mounted inside and covering part is sealed in order to protect oil from flowing inside.

Description and operation Description The smart cruise control unit is installed on the front right-hand side of the chassis. A radar sensor is embedded in the front section of the unit. This sensor detects vehicles and objects in front of the vehicle. The radar sensor can detect up to 64 objects ahead of the vehicle. The alarm goes off when the vehicle deviates from the horizontal and vertical alignment reference points during operation.
