Repair procedures

Removal

1.	Shift the gear to "N".

Loosen the nut (A) and remove the shift cable fixing clip (B).

Tightening torque :

9.8 - 14.7 N·m (1.0 - 1.5 kgf·m, 7.2 - 10.8 lb·ft)

When installing, the existing shift cable clip (A) must be replaced with new one. (Do not reuse it.)

3.	Remove the shift lever. (Refer to Automatic Transmission Control System - "Shift lever")

4.	Then, remove the shift cable by pulling it toward the vehicle interior.

Installation

1.	Install in the reverse order of removal.

Repair procedures Removal In case of removing the high pressure fuel pump, high pressure fuel pipe, delivery pipe, and injector, there may be injury caused by leakage of the high pressure fuel. So don’t do any repair work right after engine stops. • Use fender covers to avoid damaging painted surfaces.
