Shift the gear to "N". |

Loosen the nut (A) and remove the shift cable fixing clip (B).

Remove the shift lever. (Refer to Automatic Transmission Control System - "Shift lever") |

Then, remove the shift cable by pulling it toward the vehicle interior. |

Install in the reverse order of removal. |

The automatic transmission has 8 forward speeds and one reverse speed. The individual speeds are selected automatically in the D (Drive) position.
