Repair procedures
Removal
1.

Shift the gear to "N".

2.

Remove the knob (A) by pulling it in the direction of arrow after removing the boots from the console upper cover.

3.

Remove the floor console assembly.

(Refer to Body - “Floor Console Assembly”)

4.

Disconnect the shift lever main connector.

5.

Remove the shift lever (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.

Tightening torque :

8.8 - 13.7 N·m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf·m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb·ft)

6.

Remove the snap pin (A) and shift cable fixing clip (B).

7.

Remove the shift cable from the shift lever after loosening the screws (A).

Tightening torque :

0.69 - 1.37 N·m (0.07 - 0.14 kgf·m, 0.51 - 1.01 lb·ft, 6.08 - 12.15 lb·in)

Installation
1.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Description and operation Description Via the seat belt/door switch, the ISG function can detect if the driver side seat belt is fastened and the driver side door is closed. If the driver side seat belt/door are not fastened/closed, the ISG system will not operate. If the seat belt/door are unfastened/opened, the engine will not start or stop by the ISG function for safety reasons.
