Brake/Clutch Fluid

| Inspection |
Check the brake fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir. The level should be between “MIN” and “MAX” marks on the side of the reservoir.
Use only hydraulic brake fluid conforming to DOT 3 or DOT 4 specification.
Check the brake system for any leakage if the fluid level is extremely low (lower than MIN).

Check the drive shaft boots for loose clamps, cracks, grease leaks, kinks or damage.

Parking Brake

Check whether the stroke is within specification when the parking brake pedal is depressed with 66 lb, 294 N(30 kg) of force. Also, the parking brake alone should securely hold the vehicle on a fairly steep grade. If the stroke is more or less than specified, have the parking brake adjusted by an authorized Kia dealer.

Repair procedures Removal 1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. 2. Remove the vanity lamp (A) using a flat-tip screwdriver. 3. Disconnect the vanity lamp connector (A). Installation 1. Connect the vanity lamp connector.All Kia Air Conditioning Systems are filled with R-1234yf refrigerant. 1.Start the engine. Press the air conditioning button. 2.Set the mode to the position. 3.Set the air intake control to the outside air or recirculated air position. 4.Adjust the fan speed control and temperature control to maintain maximum comfort. • When maximum cooling is desired, set the temperature control to the extreme left position, then set the fan speed control to the highest speed.Categories
