Front Seat Belt Retractor

Repair procedures
Replacement
  

When installing the belt, be careful not to damage the retractor.

1.

Remove the center pillar trim.

(Refer to Interior Trim - "Center Pillar Trim")

2.

Separate the front seat belt upper anchor (A) after loosening the mounting bolt.

Tightening torque :

39.2 - 53.9 N·m (4.0 - 5.5 Kgf·m, 28.8 - 39.8 lb·ft)

3.

Disconnect the front seat belt retractor connector (A).
4.

Remove the front seat belt retrator (A) after loosening the mounting bolt.

Tightening torque :

Lower : 39.2 - 53.9 N·m (4.0 - 5.5 Kgf·m, 28.8 - 39.8 lb·ft)

Upper : 7.8 - 11.8 N·m (0.8 - 1.2 Kgf·m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb·ft)

5.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Make sure that the connector is plugged in properly.

•

Replace any damaged clips.

Height Adjuster

Replacement
1.

Remove the front seat belt upper anchor.

(Refer to Front Seat Belt - "Front Seat Belt Retractor")

2.

After loosening the mounting bolts, remove the height adjuster (A).

Tightening torque :

39.2 - 53.9 N·m (4.0 - 5.5Kgf·m, 28.9 - 39.8 lb·ft)

3.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

  

Replace any damaged clips.

Front Seat Belt Buckle

Replacement
1.

Remove the front seat assembly.

(Refer to Front Seat - "Front Seat Assembly")

2.

Remove the front seat belt buckle (A) after loosening the mounting bolt.

Tightening torque :

39.2 - 53.9 N·m (4.0 - 5.5 Kgf·m, 28.9 - 39.8 lb·ft)

3.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Replace any damaged clips.

Repair procedures Removal    • Use fender covers to avoid damaging painted surfaces. • To avoid damage, unplug the wiring connectors carefully while holding the connector portion.    Mark all wiring and hoses to avoid misconnection.

Repair procedures Inspection 1. Connect the battery voltage and check for blower motor operation. 2. If the blower motor does not operate well, substitute with a known-good blower motor and check for proper operation. 3. Replace the blower motor if it is proved that there is a problem with it.
